Gleason Brothers Finish First and Second
In Spec Miata Enduro at Mid-Ohio

LEXINGTON, Ohio, April 13
- Chris Gleason has won a lot of races in his
career, but he says seeing his kids win a race was even more exciting.

He got to do that Saturday at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course when his
youngest son, Kevin, finished first and his oldest son, Chris Jr., placed second in a
rainy three-hour NASA Spec Miata enduro at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

After a successful formula car career Chris Gleason is still enjoying a
storied career in endurance sports car racing. He has competed at Le Mans,
Daytona, Sebring and many other premier events. He's slated to compete in selected
KONI Challenge events and perhaps some Spec Miata races later this year.

Gleason said Kevin, who just turned 21, and Chris, 27, have both driven
go-karts and have instruction from the Skip Barber Racing School, but this was
their first real car race.

"My whole point in putting them in Miatas was for them to learn race-craft,
and you can get a lot of seat time in this series," the elder Gleason said.
"They had several practice sessions, two races, and the enduro, and there was a
big field of Spec Miatas. I really want them to experience what it's like.
We'll see if they have the skill, talent, and the desire to do it. I think
we're all looking forward to an exciting season. I know I was excited today when
they finished first and second!"

Gleason said his sons will do a full season in Spec Miata this year.

He also hinted that one future goal of the family may be for his sons to be
two of his co-drivers in the Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway some
day.

The Gleason family is based in Johnstown, Pa.

Saturday's race was held in the rain. It was sanctioned by the National Auto
Sport Association's Great Lakes Region. The Gleason brothers compete in the
E2 class. Kevin's Mazda is No. 10, and Chris drives No. 11. Both cars are
sponsored by Gleason Financial.

Kevin Gleason is a sophomore at Niagara University in Niagara Falls, N.Y.
Chris Jr. works in the Philadelphia office of Gleason Financial, where he is a
financial consultant and benefits specialist.
